Hatchlings BJJ

Learning to Listen & Move

Our Hatchlings program gives young children a strong start through movement, structure, and play. Classes build coordination, balance, body awareness, listening skills, and physical confidence in a way that matches their age and attention span.

What They'll Learn

  • Move their bodies with control
  • Follow directions in a group setting
  • Build strength, coordination, and balance
  • Develop focus and confidence through movement
  • Get physically ready for sports, school, and everyday play

Who It's For

  • Children ages 3 to 4 who are ready to follow simple instructions and explore movement
  • Kids with no experience in any physical or group activity. Many of our Hatchlings start there.

About This Program

We keep classes active, structured, and fun while helping kids develop the foundational skills that carry into everything else they do.

At this age, movement matters. The more capable kids become in their bodies, the more confident they become everywhere else.

I have been waiting for this program to start! I could not wait to get my son on the mat and start BJJ!

FAQ

Questions, answered

New to training? Here's everything you need to know before your first class.

My child has never done anything like this. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Many of our Hatchlings start without any experience in physical or group activities. We pay attention to each child's needs so class stays fun while they build coordination, strength, and body awareness.

How young can my child start?

Kids can start as young as 3 years old. That is typically when they are ready to learn how to follow instructions, move their body, and begin the foundations of structured movement.

What should my child wear?

Athletic clothing without pockets, zippers or clasps, and a water bottle. (No glitter, please!)

“I didn't think I'd last a full class as a beginner. Class is now the highlight of my week. I've gotten stronger than I could ever have expected.”
